the brief
Most designs die in a design file, waiting for an engineering team that's always busy. Mine don't. Vuboi is where I'm proving it: a community-driven wellness product I'm designing end to end — the vision, the flows, the interface, the words — and shipping the first pieces of on my own.
I'm not an engineer, and I don't pretend to be. I'm a designer who refuses to let the work end at a screenshot.
what's live today
I'm honest about where the product is, because that honesty is part of the craft. Three pieces are real:
- the marketing page, the front door: make a stranger understand in seconds what Vuboi is and why it's for them
- the workout planner (draft), where the language of the product gets designed: how a plan is structured, how much complexity to show and how much to hide
- the workout tracker, the screen you touch mid-set, sweating and distracted, so it's designed for the worst conditions: big targets, no friction, instant feedback
The page that earns attention, the flow that creates a plan, the screen that captures the effort. Everything else is designed and waiting behind them.
the product behind it
Underneath sits a library of 540 exercises, organised the way a coach thinks: by equipment, body part and difficulty, and by whether a movement is measured in reps, time or distance. On top of it, a real training vocabulary: supersets, circuits, rest, tempo, multi-week programs with a deload week built in.
The training logic isn't guesswork. I'm earning my personal-training certification through NFPT, an NCCA-accredited program, so when Vuboi tells a primary mover from a secondary one, that comes from inside the domain.
ai in the loop
I design Vuboi, then direct AI tools to build it. Because I know I'll be the one putting a screen together, I stop drawing pretty dead ends and design things that actually work.

| step | the agent | me |
|---|---|---|
| building | assembles the screens I design into something real you can click | designs the flows, the interface and the words |
| states | puts every screen in a real browser, where the gaps show | designs real states, edge cases and content up front, because a flow I can't build isn't finished |
| training logic | — | comes from the domain: movers, rest, tempo and deload weeks, studied through NFPT |
| order | builds whatever comes next | chose what ships first: the page, the planner, the tracker |
designing for the loneliness
The hardest problem in fitness isn't the exercise. People quit because they're doing it alone. So the heart of Vuboi is the connective tissue: sharing plans, following a coach, encouraging each other. The tracker records not just what you lifted but how you felt before and after, because mood is what decides whether you come back.
what it's really about
Wellness isn't a heroic transformation. It's small, consistent, shared actions that compound: a workout, a meal, a note of encouragement from someone on the same path. I'm not designing features. I'm designing a shorter distance between a person and their next good decision.
